These Canadian wildlife DVDs will inspire adults and children of all ages to better appreciate God's Creation and the value of all life on Earth. British Columbia and Alberta have some of the most spectacular and pristine wilderness on this Planet with amazing wildlife that live in their natural habitat.
Some of the scenes you will enjoy in these wildlife films are the life cycle of the Chinook salmon, predators and their prey, dangerous wildlife, grizzly bear attack, bird identification, song birds, birds of prey, falconry, bird banding, wildlife conservation with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, fur bearing animals, wild sheep fighting during the rut and ungulates in the rutting season. You'll also see First Nations, sport and commercial fishing that are closely monitored by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Pacific Salmon Foundation.
Filmmaker Leon Lorenz has spent more than 2 decades in the wild filming rare animal behaviors for these programs. It is with deep determination and hard work that each film is produced. It is one thing to spot wildlife from a distance, but quite another to capture close and exciting rituals seldom seen by humans. In order to capture such footage Leon has to climb the steep Canadian Rocky Mountains often with a 70 pound pack, endure cold weather and deep snow in the winter and fight off mosquitoes and flies in the summer. Sometimes for days he will hide in a blind to get certain difficult shots and at times face sudden and close grizzly bear encounters. These are all taken in stride as hard work and patience are intergal aspects of being a successful Canadian wildlife filmmaker. When one of Nature's rare and exciting moments finally unfolds in the camera's viewfinder it makes all the hardships worthwhile.

Life on the spawning grounds is an unforgettable experience, with huge Chinook Salmon being caught by bears in the Fraser River, Close encounters with Grizzlies and conflicts between Bald Eagles are all part of the drama being played out in nature.
The raw beauty of this valley with towering mountains and unpolluted rivers and streams is among the finest found anywhere in the world.
